Kelmore One Coat DPM Fast is a rapid curing two-part epoxy damp proof membrane developed to control residual construction moisture in both commercial and domestic flooring installations. Designed for time-sensitive projects, this high-performance liquid DPM protects floor finishes from rising damp and excess subfloor moisture while significantly reducing waiting times on site.
This professional-grade system is suitable for interior and exterior floors, including heated screeds. It tolerates moisture levels of up to 98% RH in cementitious screeds and 90% RH in calcium sulphate or anhydrite screeds, making it ideal where a structural damp proof membrane is absent or ineffective. The true one coat epoxy application saves valuable labour time compared with traditional multi-coat systems while delivering reliable moisture protection.
With a working time of approximately 20 minutes and a rapid cure time of around 4½ hours at 20°C, Kelmore One Coat DPM Fast allows follow-on trades to progress quickly. Once cured, the coating forms a continuous, pinhole-free waterproof barrier that supports long-term floor performance and helps prevent moisture-related failures such as adhesive breakdown or floor lifting.
Its solvent-free formulation makes it suitable for internal environments where air quality and installer safety are important. Whether used in commercial refurbishments, retail fit-outs or residential developments, Kelmore One Coat DPM Fast provides a dependable solution for professional subfloor moisture control and flooring preparation.
Kelmore One Coat DPM Fast is a fast-curing, 2-part epoxy damp proof membrane and residual moisture suppressant. It can control moisture up to 98% RH in concrete and cementitious screeds and 90% RH in calcium sulphate/anhydrite screeds. It can also be applied as a full DPM to combat rising damp.
It is suitable for concrete, cementitious screeds, calcium sulphate/anhydrite screeds and heated screeds. It can also be used on existing ceramic, porcelain and natural stone tiled surfaces when correctly prepared.
The resin and hardener are mixed together completely before application. The mixed DPM is applied using the appropriate V-notched A2, B1 or B2 trowel, before the ridges are flattened with a short-pile roller to produce an even coating.
Coverage depends on the trowel and pack size: 5kg: approximately 12.5m² (A2), 10.5m² (B1) or 9m² (B2). 10kg: approximately 25m² (A2), 21m² (B1) or 18m² (B2).
At 20°C, One Coat DPM Fast cures in approximately 4½ hours, making it suitable for projects where quicker installation times are required. Its working time is approximately 20 minutes.
Yes. One Coat DPM Fast is suitable for heated screeds and underfloor heating systems. The underfloor heating should be switched off 48 hours before work begins.
The main difference is curing speed. One Coat DPM Fast cures in approximately 4½ hours, compared with around 6 hours for One Coat DPM Trade, making the Fast version better suited to projects where quicker follow-on work is required.
