Kelmore One Coat Liquid DPM Trade

DESCRIPTION

Kelmore One Coat DPM Trade 25kg | Solvent Free Liquid Resin DPM

Kelmore One Coat DPM Trade 25kg is a professional one coat epoxy damp proof membrane designed to control residual construction moisture and rising damp in concrete and screeded subfloors. This two-part liquid epoxy DPM system forms a durable waterproof barrier that protects floor finishes from moisture-related failures while reducing installation time on site.

Developed specifically for professional flooring contractors, Kelmore One Coat DPM Trade provides reliable moisture suppression for substrates with hygrometer readings up to 98% relative humidity (RH) in cementitious screeds and 90% RH in calcium sulphate or anhydrite screeds. The genuine single coat application allows faster installation compared with traditional multi-coat damp proof membrane systems.

Once mixed, the epoxy resin and hardener create a robust, pinhole-free membrane that provides long-term protection against moisture transmission beneath smoothing compounds, adhesives and final floorcoverings. The system is suitable for both commercial and domestic flooring installations, including heated screeds where underfloor heating systems have been correctly commissioned.

With a working time of approximately 20 minutes and a cure time of around 6 hours at 20°CKelmore One Coat DPM Trade allows follow-on trades to progress quickly, making it ideal for refurbishment projects and fast-track construction programmes.

Its solvent free formulation improves on-site working conditions and supports safe installation in internal environments where air quality is important.

For flooring contractors requiring a trade-grade epoxy damp proof membrane capable of handling high moisture subfloorsKelmore One Coat DPM Trade provides efficient subfloor preparation and dependable long-term moisture protection.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is One Coat DPM Trade used for?

One Coat DPM Trade is a 2-part epoxy damp proof membrane and residual moisture suppressant. It can withstand moisture levels up to 98% RH in cementitious subfloors and 90% RH in calcium sulphate screeds, and can also be used as a full DPM to combat rising damp.

What substrates can One Coat DPM Trade be used on?

Suitable for concrete, cement:sand screeds, calcium sulphate/anhydrite screeds, existing ceramic, porcelain and natural stone tiles, plus Kelmore’s moisture-tolerant levelling and smoothing compounds. It is also suitable for heated cement:sand and calcium sulphate/anhydrite screeds.

How is One Coat DPM Trade applied?

Mix Part A and Part B in full, then apply using the appropriate V-notched trowel and flatten the ridges with a short-pile roller. Use an A2, B1 or B2 trowel depending on the substrate, moisture level and required thickness.

What coverage does One Coat DPM Trade provide?

A 25kg unit covers approximately 60m² with an A2 trowel, 50m² with a B1 trowel or 42m² with a B2 trowel on smooth surfaces. Coverage varies with the background texture and application thickness.

How long does One Coat DPM Trade take to cure?

At 20°C, One Coat DPM Trade is hard, dry and tack-free after approximately 6 hours. It has a working time of approximately 20 minutes at 20°C.

Can One Coat DPM Trade be used with underfloor heating?

Yes. It is suitable for heated cement:sand and calcium sulphate/anhydrite screeds. Underfloor heating must be commissioned beforehand and switched off 48 hours before work begins.

When can I apply a levelling compound over One Coat DPM Trade?

Once cured after approximately 6 hours, PrimeMore Grip can be applied before a Kelmore levelling and smoothing compound. LevelMore Absolute 30 or LevelMore Pro can be applied without priming if installed within 24 hours of the DPM application.
