DESCRIPTION

ARDEX DPM 1 C-R Rapid Curing One Coat Epoxy Damp Proof Membrane

ARDEX DPM 1 C-R is a high-performance rapid curing epoxy damp proof membrane designed for fast-track moisture protection in concrete and cement/sand screeds. This solvent-free, two component one-coat epoxy DPM delivers reliable moisture suppression in a single application, making it ideal for commercial and residential flooring projects where programme time is critical.

Engineered to tolerate hygrometer readings up to 98% RH, this epoxy DPM 98% RH system forms a continuous, pinhole-free membrane that protects floor coverings and adhesives from moisture-related failure. By controlling vapour transmission at the subfloor level, it helps prevent bubbling, debonding and premature breakdown of floor finishes.

What sets ARDEX DPM 1 C-R apart is its fast-drying epoxy DPM performance. The rapid curing formulation allows levelling compounds and compatible adhesives to be applied significantly sooner than traditional systems, helping contractors reduce downtime and maintain site schedules.

Suitable for use over commissioned underfloor heating systems (up to 90% RH on heated screeds), this epoxy damp proof membrane provides durable resistance to water and construction stresses once cured.

For installers seeking a rapid curing epoxy damp proof membrane up to 98% RH, ARDEX DPM 1 C-R offers dependable moisture protection, reduced waiting times and efficient one coat installation performance.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Can This Product Be Used For?

ARDEX DPM 1 C R is a rapid curing one coat damp proof membrane and residual moisture suppressant for concrete slabs, cement/sand screeds and calcium sulphate screeds. It protects floorcoverings from residual construction moisture and rising damp, and can be used where a structural damp proof membrane is not present or is ineffective.

How Should This Product Be Applied?

Mix the two components thoroughly and apply an even coat using the recommended V-shaped notched trowel, then flatten the ridges with a short pile roller while the product is still wet. Apply at temperatures above 10°C.

Is This Compatible With Underfloor Heating?

Yes. ARDEX DPM 1 C R is suitable for use on cement/sand screeds containing water-based underfloor heating systems.

How Many M² Will This Cover?

Coverage depends on the moisture level being treated. A 6kg unit covers up to 15m² (85% RH), 12.6m² (92% RH) or 10.8m² (98% RH). Coverage will vary depending on the substrate and required film thickness.

When Is This Ready For The Next Stage?

ARDEX DPM 1 C R can receive ARDITEX NA after approximately 4 hours and other compatible ARDEX levelling compounds once the membrane is hard and dry. Typical overcoating and walkability are achieved after 4 hours at 20°C.
