DESCRIPTION

Turbo Splicer

The Turbo Splicer is a specialist flooring installation tool designed to fuse the ends of heat-welding rod together within the centre of a prepared flooring groove. It is intended for professional resilient flooring installations where a continuous heat-welded seam is required and one length of welding rod needs to be joined to another.

During heat welding, a welding rod may run out before the complete flooring seam has been finished. The Turbo Splicer allows the installer to join a new length of welding rod at the point where the previous length ends. The tool is used within the groove, helping create a continuous transition between the two sections of welding rod before the finished weld is trimmed or skived.

Turbo includes the Splicer within its professional flooring installation systems for both vinyl and linoleum or Marmoleum applications. It forms part of the finishing and skiving equipment supplied within Turbo heat-welding kits and is designed to complement the grooving, welding and finishing stages of resilient flooring installation.

The tool is particularly useful on commercial flooring projects and other installations containing long heat-welded seams where changing welding rod during the run may be necessary. By allowing the rod ends to be joined within the groove, it provides a dedicated method of continuing the weld without restarting the complete seam.

The Turbo Splicer is manufactured in the USA. It is designed by Turbo Heat Welding Tools specifically for professional flooring installers working with heat-welded resilient floor coverings.
