DESCRIPTION

Heckmondwike Hobnail

Heckmondwike Hobnail is a commercial fibre-bonded carpet range featuring a distinctive cobbled, diamond-effect surface texture. Designed for demanding interior environments, it combines a durable construction with acoustic and anti-static performance, making it suitable for a wide range of commercial, education and public-sector applications.

The range is manufactured from 80% polypropylene, 15% polyamide and 5% recycled polyester. It is available in both sheet and tile formats, allowing installers and specifiers to select the most suitable option for the project. Sheet material is supplied in a 2 metre width, while tiles measure 50cm x 50cm and feature a bitumen backing.

Hobnail provides effective impact noise reduction, achieving 25dB in sheet format and 24dB in tile format when tested to BS EN ISO 10140-3:2010. The carpet is also anti-static and suitable for use in computer rooms, supporting installation in environments containing electronic equipment.

Its anti-ravel construction is designed to withstand regular use while helping reduce maintenance requirements. The range is available in 10 colour options, offering a choice of neutral and stronger shades for different commercial interiors.

Heckmondwike Hobnail is intended for internal use and is suitable for high-traffic environments where a durable fibre-bonded carpet is required. Typical applications include schools, colleges, offices, retail areas, communal spaces and public buildings. Its combination of textured appearance, acoustic performance and robust construction makes it suitable for professional contract flooring installations.
