Gradus PVC-u Clip Top FT27 Top AFT Base 

The Gradus PVC-u Clip Top FT27 Top AFT Base is a versatile two-part flooring transition profile designed to provide a safe and seamless connection between different floor coverings. Part of the Gradus Clip-Top system, this profile is engineered to reduce trip hazards while protecting floor edges in high-traffic commercial environments. 

The system consists of a durable PVC-u top section combined with a strong aluminium base, offering both flexibility and structural integrity. The clip-top mechanism allows the top to securely lock into the base, creating a stable installation that can withstand pedestrian and trolley traffic. It also enables easy replacement of the top section if required, without disturbing the base or surrounding flooring.  

Specifically designed for transitions between hard flooring and carpet or carpet tiles, the FT27/AFT profile accommodates floor coverings with an approximate 7.5mm height (with a working range typically between 7.5mm and 13mm depending on installation). This ensures a precise fit and smooth transition, reducing wear at vulnerable floor edges while maintaining a professional finish.  

The aluminium base is fixed to the subfloor using mechanical fixings and/or adhesive, after which the PVC-u top is clipped into place. The system is suitable for use in a wide range of environments including retail stores, hospitals, offices and public buildings where durability, safety and ease of maintenance are essential.
