The Protimeter Digital Mini 2 BLD5702 is a digital pin-type moisture meter designed for assessing moisture levels in wood and a wide range of building materials. Intended for professional building investigation, surveying and restoration work, it provides targeted moisture readings to help identify the extent of moisture penetration, investigate potential causes and monitor changes over time.

The instrument uses pin-type measurement, with readings taken at the specific contact area of the electrodes. Its measurement range extends from 7.9% to 99% WME, with results presented on a large backlit digital LCD. A 60-LED display provides an additional visual indication of moisture condition, using green for dry readings from 7.9% to 16.9%, yellow for at-risk readings from 17% to 19.9%, and red for wet readings from 20% to 99.9%.

Integrated pin measurement can assess moisture to a depth of up to 12.7 mm. For more specialised investigation, the auxiliary connection supports optional Protimeter probes, including hammer electrodes for sub-surface measurements in timber, deep wall probes for solid and composite walls, and EIFS probes for exterior insulation and finishing systems.

The rugged, portable meter is suitable for building surveys, fire and flood restoration, concrete surface measurement, wooden subfloors and hardwood flooring. Reference Mode also enables measurements taken at different locations to be compared against a selected baseline value.

The BLD5702 measures 190 x 70 x 49 mm and weighs approximately 225 g including its battery. The standard kit includes the Digital Mini meter, 2-pin moisture probe, Calcheck device, pouch, belt loop, operating instructions and 9V battery.
