Original Delphin knives were invented by Berns Reddig who was a self employed floor layer in Germany. The company that formed around the original Delphin knife then became Reddig GmbH, Which has been running for over 35 years. The knives are designed to resemble a dolphin which is a nod to it’s name which is dolphin in German.

Why are they different from any other flooring knife?

The original Delphin knives are made in Germany from durable and reliable metal. The knife has an ergonomic shape which allows for comfortable, prolonged use. It sits nicely in your hand and doesn't cause any discomfort or strain. Once the knife is unscrewed there is a blade holder inside which keeps the sharp blades safe whilst being transported.

When it comes to blades, Delphin has four varieties. Super hook, black hooked, black trapezoid and hook blade. These can all be purchased in packs of 100 from our website. Delphin blades are best suited to Delphin knives however, other branded blades do also fit into the Delphin knives. We recommend Delphin blades as they are durable and long lasting due to their high quality.
