F Ball Styccoclean Solvent Degreaser and Cleaner 500ml

STYCCOCLEAN SOLVENT is a fast drying, non-flammable solvent used for the removal of contaminants such as grease and oil from the back of floorcoverings and accessories prior to installation. It also assists in the removal of some adhesives from the surface of carpets and other floorcoverings.

STYCCOCLEAN SOLVENT can be used on most types of carpets and floorcoverings, covings and nosings etc, made linoleum, rubber, vinyl and metal. It can also be used for cleaning tools after use.

Application

Cleaning floorings and accessories – Dampen a clean cloth with the solvent and rub the area to be cleaned until all of the contamination has been removed. Take care not to use too much solvent on rubber, linoleum, vinyl or accessories as this may cause damage. When cleaning the back of floorings or accessories, allow all traces of the solvent to evaporate before commencing installation.

Removing adhesive from carpet – Apply the solvent gently with a piece of clean cloth until the adhesive has been softened, then remove the adhesive using a small stiff bristle brush. Take care not to rub the softened adhesive into the carpet pile. When cleaning a large area, lay the wetted cloth on the patch of adhesive and cover with a basin, metal foil or polythene to retard evaporation of the solvent whilst the adhesive is softening. More than one application may be necessary.
