F. Ball Stopgap F78 Waterproof Surface Membrane 

F. Ball Stopgap F78 Liquid Damp Proof Membrane is a solvent-free one component liquid DPM designed to control residual construction moisture in concrete and cementitious subfloors prior to flooring installation. Supplied ready to use, this liquid damp proof membrane provides an efficient moisture barrier that allows earlier installation of floorcoverings in fast-track construction and refurbishment projects. 

Applied as a two-coat liquid DPM system, Stopgap F78 forms a continuous waterproof surface membrane that suppresses moisture levels up to 95% relative humidity (RH). This helps prevent flooring failures such as adhesive breakdown, bubbling and floorcovering movement caused by excess moisture within the substrate. 

The membrane is pigmented blue, allowing installers to clearly monitor coverage and ensure a uniform, pinhole-free application. Because the product is supplied ready to use, no mixing is required and the container can be resealed for future use, helping reduce material waste during installation. 

Stopgap F78 dries rapidly under normal site conditions, with the first coat typically becoming touch dry within 15–30 minutes at 20°C and the second coat drying in approximately 30 minutes. This rapid drying performance helps maintain efficient workflow during flooring preparation.
