So, you have just received your new brand new Linoleum floor, you open the packing and "wait a minute this is not the right colour", well don't panic read on to find out why this happens!
Well this is something called Linoleum yellowing and is a totally natural phenomenon!
Why does it happen?
As all linoleum completes its maturing, a temporary and variable natural phenomenon occurs which may give the product a yellow tint.
What do I do about it?
Simply expose the material to natural or artificial light and the original colour will develop.
How Long does it take?
Depending on the type of material thickness etc the process will take anywhere from 2 hours to 3 days to totally disappear.
Will it ever come back?
Technically no but if you were to block the light to a section of flooring totally such as putting in a large plant pot or piece of furniture on the floor this may cause the tint to return but should also disappear in the same way as mentioned above.
